NEW CLASSES just added to our roster!
PIVOTAL Strength Yoga: This class is designed to build the strength and flexibility needed to build functional muscle memory for strong asana practice. The asanas (yoga poses) will be taught slowly with longer holds to get the muscles to strengthen and preform correctly. This is a more vigorous yoga class that focuses on moving through postures with one breath per movement. Additional core work is often embedded into the class structure. An extensive background in yoga is not needed in order to attend but participants should be ready to sweat! This class is appropriate for all levels.
PIVOTAL Inversions Play: This class will be a fun flow with a mixture of inversions/arm balance to learn the techniques of getting upside down in your practice. This class is appropriate for all levels and will be structured to get you upside down comfortably and safely.
PIVOTAL Stretch, Roll & Trigger: We've combined PIVOTAL Deep Stretch and PIVOTAL Roll & Trigger into one class! - Sometimes just stretching isn't enough and it is often hard to find the motivation and time for deep muscle restoration at home. PIVOTAL Stretch, Roll & Trigger is a 60 minute class that will allow you to perform self myofascial release with the aide of a foam roller and a lacrosse ball combined with sustained, deep stretches. These sustained stretches enable you to effectively access the length and flexibility of your muscle tissue, to break up calcification and lactic acid build up and increase vascular function throughout your muscle fibers. The effects of this approach are similar to that of a deep tissue massage in that you are breaking up the adhesions that bind your muscle tissue, cause lack of flexibility, painful movement and poor vascular flow. Over time these adhesions will weaken your muscular performance and your workouts will plateau. Rolling and releasing trigger points will greatly help to restore your muscle function and your flexibility. This is a corrective and proactive approach to muscular wellness and although it can be intense, this practice, on a regular basis, will enable you to regain the power of your muscles and the range of motion in your joints. Much like the effects from a massage you will leave feeling loose, open, relaxed and connected to your body.
PIVOTAL Peak Pose Yoga: This is a vinyasa style yoga class where breath is linked to movement. In each class, we will build up to a peak pose--a complex pose such as a balance pose--preparing your muscles and your mindset along the way. All levels are welcome.

The New PIVOTAL Direction
We live in an age and a culture that fully supports and promotes a healthy and fit lifestyle. We know it feels good to be active. We work hard for it. We strive to become stronger and leaner and capable of pushing ourselves to the physical limit again and again.
So, how do we avoid injury? There needs to be a balance.
Stretching, lengthening, rolling and digging through our tight and tired muscle tissue will open the fibers and allow circulation to reinvigorate and heal our cells. We all know what we should be doing in our spare time…self care and body maintenance. Most people I know don’t have or make enough time for this recovery. Do you?
We want to simplify self care for you. PIVOTAL Massage & Bodywork is your new body maintenance program. Let’s make muscle recovery feel less like a chore.
We are proud to present the new PIVOTAL Classes:
Each of these classes introduces different methods of muscle maintenance and overall body wellness, such as traction, hanging suspension, myofascial release, trigger point release and isolated & purposeful deep stretching. This is how you unbind your muscles and loosen your joints. This is how you avoid injury and continue to function at a peak performance level.
Make the time to feel better. Make the time to find this balance. Make the time and take class.
